Dana Foster is a Canadian Television and Radio Host. After attending Columbia Academy in Vancouver, BC Dana explored radio as an intern at the AM station Mojo Radio, The Beat 94.5 as well as Vicki Gabereau on CTV.

In 2005, Dana moved to Northern, British Columbia, where she became the Volunteer Coordinator and Afternoon host at Peace FM. She interviewed Canadian Author, Robert Munch, the Road Hammers, Theory of a Deadman, Shane Yellowbird as well as many Political Figures, Actors, Advocates and performers. There she made her mark by revamping the broadcast training program and brought in a Fashion and Beauty seminar and segment which is still remembered to this day. In 2006 Dana received a SCI-TECH award in Youth and Innovation for her work with the youth in the broadcasting program and was nominated for and Aurora Award in the Service Category.

In Prince George she worked at Jim Pattison Station’s 101.3 The River, 99.3 The Drive and CKPG TV as the promotions Coordinator. There organized promotions and, concerts of many well-known musicians such as Hedley, Fefe Dobson, Sir Elton John and Billy Talent. Shortly after, Dana was asked to host her own talk show with Classic Rock CFNR, called Nationview Magazine, which feature interviews on Aboriginal current events, news and entertainment.

In 2011 Dana Foster moved to Winnipeg to be the TV Host/ Reporter of APTN National News with Michael Hutchinson. There she interviewed many Political Leaders in, Aboriginal Leaders, and popular Aboriginal Artists within the entertainment Industry

Currently, Dana owns and operates Foster Media Consulting a company helping First Nation communities independently operate a community radio station through broadcast training. She is the Host/Reporter of FMC’s Nationview Entertainment which is an Entertainment News and Feature program on Aboriginal performers, productions and more.

Dana is also the creator and founder of Independent Chick, an organization teaching women the power of Independence.
